There’s a new TV season? They all used to start about the same time, but here it is November and I’m still waiting for some of my favorites to stop what should have been summer reruns.
It is kind of sad today’s kids don’t get to anticipate anything. Remember the prime time show with the preview of the New Saturday Morning Show Lineup?
And holiday specials came on ONCE A YEAR – no VCRs, DVRs, DVDs, BluRays, On Demand, streaming, etc. If you weren’t there when the show aired, you just missed it! It truly was “appointment TV,” so families made sure to be there and watch the classic specials together. It was a great time for family bonding.

It WAS exciting. We only had 3 channels so looked forward to new stuff. And Bonanza always introduced the new Chevrolets. Anybody else remember that?

A rather primitive TV, haven’t had a CRT for many years.

First comic I’ve seen that hasn’t upgraded to a flat screen TV.

When you didn’t have a lot, new was exciting.
