The Foreign Legionnaire and his troops hike up a slope. The continue hiking.<BR><BR> The foreign legionnaire thinks, "When you're on a hike like this, men, you have to anticipate difficulties."<BR><BR> As they approach a gorge, he thinks, "Like this gorge, for instance....how do we get across?"<BR><BR> He stops at the edge and thinks, "Behold!" He stretches himself across the gorge and continues, "A beagle bridge!"<BR><BR> The troops walk over him as he thinks, "Don't look down men...just march right across..." The last troops march over him and continue on their way.<BR><BR> The foreign legionnaire continues to lie stretched out over the gorge.<BR><BR> As the moon comes up, he thinks,"People don't think about it, but when you're a bridge, you get lonely at night."<BR><BR>

Good grief. Apparently Snoopy forgot that these birds, whatever kind they are, are the kind of birds that can fly. And also that bridging is much easier than un-bridging, at least doing so safely. Hang in there Snoop!
