Back in the ‘60s (that’s 1960s not 1860s) – Young adults were revolting against “the man” and “the establishment.”
So two polls were conducted.
The first poll asked, “What is your political affiliation.” followed by “What is your parent’s political affiliation.”
The second poll asked the exact same questions but in the opposite order.
There was a statistical difference in the results. I don’t put a lot of stock in polls unless I know what questions were asked, to whom they were asked and under what circumstances. Also percents mean nothing to me: give me hard numbers.
Way back, my parents’ generation thought they could improve on their parents’ mistakes. My generation thought we could improve on our parents’ mistakes. My children think they’re improving on my generation’s mistakes. And, guess what my grandchildren think they can improve on?
Aww.. is the poor snowflake going to melt? Walk away from you parents, including all the support you get from them. Then you have the right to complain.

Yeah, there’s no cure for that. Either kill them or cope with it.

They keep making rational arguments, and that goes against my peers’ pre-conceived notions.
