    Into the crate

    Don’t hesitate

    Splitface does fly free.

    Haul him away

    As snowflakes play

    Foul as he can be.

    Clybourne, he drives

    Harsh malice thrives

    Truck now pointed east.

    Revenge served cold

    A story told

    Splitface such a beast.

    Once Haf-n-Haf

    An acid bath

Made half his face a mess.

    Who’s on his list

    As murder grist

    Is anybody’s guess.

    Good morning™, everyone!

Splitface wants revenge, but not against Zelda, which is just as well, because I don’t think she’s even in town. Maybe there’s someone else from his last.

    ’Tis an interesting start

    I have to say

    As the Magpie and freak

    Doth drive away

    Only time will tell

    Where the story goes

    Will it bring us thrills

    Or the usual woes

    I’m not the cad

    Most everyone thinks

    I simply hate

    A story that stinks

    A chance I’ll give

    This latest attempt

    To capture the magic

    That’s long been spent

He originally held a grudge against the jury that caused him to go to prison and went after them in the past – but I think this is something different…

Good morning™, drive off conspirators !

I believe his opening line to Cly is about the most humility we will ever see. Will his revenge be wreaked on an individual or a group ?  Would it be something simple and boring as the judge who put him there in the first place and to which he always returns like a yo yo on a string ?

    One thing I like best,

    About this fine forum,

Is we have many a wordsmith.

    Their musings add zest,

    To spice the decorum,

As we daily discuss Tracy’s myth.

But while I’ve aimed for “jest”,

    I fear I’ve hit “boredom”,

So I’ll bid you adieu now, forthwith!

Splitface knows that employees always appreciate encouraging feedback and a stay of execution from their supervisor.

Clybourne! We must be in a Sunday strip, because your face suddenly looks like it’s made from Lego!

1-GRANDPA: Fine. You got me. I’ve been faking crazy so I could bide my time in the Nut House instead of prison. SHADES: Doing easy time eh?

2-GRANDPA: You kiddin’? They dump you outside everyday no matter what the weather…

3-…every meal is like pudding. And every conversation involves alien conspiracies!

4-SHADES: Sounds tough. I don’t know how you came outta there with all your marbles.

5-GRANDPA: MARBLES? Did you know that the Cats Eye marbles are really little alien spy devices? They can really see and they send what they see back to the aliens circling the earth. And lots of the others look JUST LIKE the worlds they come from and…

SHADES: (Geez. That Circling Brothers Circus haul better be worth it). HOW ABOUT WE STOP FOR SOME PUDDING GRANDPA? GRANDPA: YUM!

Someone asked for a synopsis, which goes back to the 60’s when he was introduced as Haf-n-Haf, a Batman Two-Face clone. He was out of circulation until our present solons brought him back and to make it appear to be new, changed his name to Splitface, a character in a 40s Tracy movie. It’s all spelled out in the IDW history of the Tracy strip books, I suggest to follow this guy, pick up that book.

I’m not usually thrilled with revenge plots as I’ve said many times on this board.

Revenge can get tiresome if over done. But some families live for real revenge in some cases cor decades if not centuries.

Eastward ho the wagon, Clybourne! I needs me some sweet revenge on someone back east!

Who that may be is not yet clear, though Tracy is among the possibilities. How far “east” does Splitface mean for Clybourne to go? “East to the next stoplight”? “East to Boston”?

Besides, it depends to some degree on just exactly where Wertham Woods is in relation to downtown Tracyville, where I presume one would hunt for Tracy, jurors, judges, or many others Out of the Past. Nor in any case is it yet clear who the Crossover Guest will be….
