There is actually an Angel Bluff northwest of Chicago, but it’s just east of the Mississippi River, not on the coast.

It does look like a bridge to me now.

What horrible thing has GoComics suddenly done to Frisk’s hair!?

A cold, bleak, snowy day (or night) of judgement for the Howells…

I agree with Tracy, the supreme judge just took the Howells case.

It may have happened at Angel Bluff, but the Howells are no doubt going in the opposite direction and will soon find it’s a very short drive (dive?) for them between the Devil and the deep blue sea.

Oh no! Her head is horribly injured and all that blood has turned her blond hair red!

It looks like the Howells are “dead fish dead”…

As I (and many others) predicted….DOOM for the Howells….

Sounds just like something I would say, Tracy. And watch you get backlash from realists that say it doesn’t exist. Just what do they know?

I now think they’ll survive. If they were dead, I think they’d be clearly dead in today’s strip. That the suspense is being kept up makes me think they aren’t.

I very impressed that Frisk immediately dyed her hair after narrowly escaping death.

Frisk was so scared, her hair turned… purple?

Wild card= The doors popped open on impact, and the Howells got away to return in the future!

Frisk didn’t want to get involved, so she quickly dyed her hair in order to hide her identity.

A lackluster ending to a lackluster story

The cigarillos are not the only things that have been extinguished. The Howells sleep with the fishes. Still, Tracy is ever the pro and calls for the proper assistance just in case. The third panel is especially Gouldian. The snowflakes fall, as did the Howells.

Frisk seems to have gone prematurely fuschia.

God forbid anyone (I’m lookin’ at you, copper!) should dive in and try to save them! After all, he might get that trench coat dirty!

I wonder if the Howells made it to Gilligan’s Island? HA!

Tracy’s waxing philosophical pretty much puts the seal to this arc. The divers, we can presume, will find the station wagon with two lifeless bodies in it.

Aside from Frisk’s miscolored hair, today’s art is good, not least the noir-ish touches….
