Actually, I’ve bought a couple of fleet cars in my day, and they can be a good buy. They’re often only a year or so old (because the rental agency wants to trade them in for newer models), and that year of depreciation keeps the price down . Mileage is likely to be low. They’re usually been well taken care of, if indeed they needed any maintenance, because the rental company wants happy customers. Finally, at that young age some of the original warranty is still available, so you’re pretty well covered if the car develops any problems.
