“Know your audience.” Or, in some cases, “No your audience.”

It’s a bad sign for our culture that universities and colleges — those supposed seats of unfettered inquiry and free speech — have become so hostile to disagreeing viewpoints that comedians now avoid them. It ain’t funny!

No one throws rotten fruit at the performers in this venue, but the squirrels do pelt them with acorns

Not attending, OK. Not purchasing a ticket, fine. Orderly protest outside the venue, great. Violent demonstrations outside the venue, demanding that the administration deny the speaker/performer admission to the campus? Seems our universities’ student bodies may have lost the definition of free speech while their faculties and administrators misplaced their spinal columns.

I suppose you don’t really have to catch the talent. All you have to do is hoodwink their manager. Who better to do that than a squirrel.

Couldn’t imagine a character like Archie under these days. That show forced us to face our prejudices in a humorous, thoughtful manner. Now we just fear to address them

This venue probably gave him some good material for the other venues.

If you don’t get exposed to the other ideas you will always be rigid and close minded and ignorant.
