When I’m forced to go to Bigbucks, I just say “I’ll have a small coffee.” If there’s a choice of blends, I’ll pick one, but I’m not going to play their game.
I’ve only been to Starbucks twice in my life. Once in the early 1990s, when a client insisted and picked up the tab, and then in the late 1990s when I was dealing with a long, early morning layover at O’Hare. Both times I ordered a strong, French roast. Both were over-priced.

dishpans – Only once at Starbucks, and yes not excited about the taste of its coffee nor the cost of a plain cup of coffee.

I hate it when someone waits in line and doesn’t even try to make a selection until they’re at the register.
