Per Kliban: Cat, n: one hell of a nice animal, frequently mistaken for a meat loaf. As we see here. He left out the part about taking milk baths.

Had a kitty fight last night…

Space put out a flying saucer of warm milk to calm like a sedative…

Get in line all you felines, keep the final frontier from getting unruly.

The Question That Won Me the Ig Nobel Prize: Are Cats Liquid?By Marc-Antoine Fardin

A liquid is traditionally defined as a material that adapts its shape to fit a container. Yet under certain conditions, cats seem to fit this definition. Here a cat, whose body fits perfectly within a sink, behaves like a liquid.

    (Figure)

This somewhat paradoxical observation emerged on the web a few years ago and joined the long list of internet memes involving our feline friends. When I first saw this question it made me laugh, and then think. I decided to reformulate it to illustrate some problems at the heart of rheology, the study of the deformations and flows of matter. My study on the rheology of cats won the 2017 Ig Nobel Prize in Physics.

This cat reminds me of the one I saw on Monday Night Football last night … scoring a touchdown no less …!

The cat’s meow becomes the cat’s pajamas.

Perhaps the liquid in the cat wanted to get back in the plate?

What a beautiful way to draw a cat!! Loved it. Great attention to the tail…always moving, always telling us something. It seems to be its own shadow? Well, I can’t understand 90% of Teresa’s work, so not surprised I can’t understand that last panel.

I object! This is Realism, not humor. I need to be amused. I can become testy when I am not amused.

As in “We are not amused. Off with his head!”

Shallow saucers may not only accommodate sleepy kitties but also serve to display severed heads.

Amuse me! A kitty in a saucer is banal, clichéd, lame….

Is this some sort of Frog Applause ruse?
