I had a very messy high school friend. She literally had more than a foot of clothes and such distributed across her floor. She said one time her dad came in with a shovel and started throwing everything into boxes. After a few years she cleaned up, finding a shirt that she hadn’t seen in over three years sitting in the middle of her floor (but at the bottom of the stack)

Oh, I can relate to that. My clean clothes are in the basket. My re-wearable ones are on the floor.
