In the late 50s – early 60s RCA was trying to introduce color TV and having a bad time of it. Color TVs were very expensive compared to B & W sets. A little sales & repair store in Nebraska was leading all RCA retailers in sales, breaking all sales records and soon had a visit from headquarters. The owner had a great plan. Whenever a TV set needed repair, he would bring it into the shop and lend a color model to the owners while he fixed their B & W set. When he was finished with the repairs most of his customers decided to buy the color set on his easy payment terms. TV shows were still made in black & white even into the late 1960s, but now we think it special when a tv episode or film is made in black & white.

Bring in some pets from the animal shelter – Adoption fee waived and free cushion-dog or lap-cat with the purchase of every TV. Brilliant!

There might be some gas or barf problems if the person’s head weighed more than Red’s.
