When I was in the Army, at social functions, dates, weekends whatever, someone would say to me “you look like a girl without your uniform!” And that was before we were able to wear slacks.
Being a guy I can’t say anything to the nature of wearing or not wearing make up. But simply going against what others tell you is still letting yourself be controlled by what others think. When you can form an opinion that isn’t influenced by what others say (easier said than done) then you are truly free thinking.
