    Anybody remember “Bringing Up Baby”, still one of the funniest (IMHO) movies ever made, even though it’s from 1938?

    This scene reminds me of it.

     

    It has Cary Grant as a paleontologist, who’s been working for years on assembling a brontosaurus skeleton,

    and Katherine Hepburn, as a totally wacko young heiress.

    Her aunt’s little dog steals and buries a very important dinosaur bone…. and is chased, (along with both a tame and a wild leopard….) through the countryside.

     

    I give it about seven out of four stars….

    and can’t help wondering whether it inspired Paul Gilligan.

    In “Bernie” they had a whole body. Even in a movie I don’t think they could have pulled it off with just a thigh-bone (too much suspension of belief required).
