West Palm Beach, FL—A state court jury Tuesday (Oct. 2017) handed down a $7.1 million award to the family of a woman who died from smoking-related lung cancer, after it concluded Philip Morris played a central role in her death. Gentile v. Philip Morris, 2015CA005405.
Jurors needed less than two hours to find Brenda Gentile, a long-time smoker of Philip Morris’ Virginia Slims, Parliament, and Merit brands, died because the tobacco giant hid the health risks of cigarettes the company knew were dangerous.

There’s an error in the colouring in panel 4. Just saying. Oh, and smoking is bad.

I like how the background in each panel reflects the optimism or pessimism of that frame’s message.

I wonder how much more money people would have if they didn’t burn it up poisoning themselves. Ironically, I think I would spend it on Oreo’s.
