    I just roll my eyes when anybody objects to GMO (genetically modified organism) food. There is no foodstuff in the world today that’s identical to what was available 2000 years ago. It has ALL (yes, ALL) been genetically modified over the last couple of millennia, initially thru gambling with selective breeding but more recently with precision knowledge-based technology to produce the desired benefits quickly. If you object to GMO food on principle, you’re reduced to eating sand and gravel.

    In the U.S. it used to be a tradition for Jews to eat at a Chinese restaurant on Christmas because they were the only restaurants open on Christmas Day/
