It’s funny that they “puppy proof” for visitors, but still have not learned to keep sausages etc out of Fred’s reach.
We couldn’t hide our china cabinet or kitchen wall, so those lower parts got chewed.

Puppies and kitties will play with anything. One can just minimize the hurricane sweeping through your house when they get wound up.
We once had a puppy that chewed& then she made the mistake of chewing through a live electric cord. She never chewed anything again!
I think they are in for quite a time-they haven’t “proofed” enought I am sure.
The only things you leave available to puppies are things you WANT destroyed so you can truthfully say, “The puppy ate it.”
