l read on another forum where a guy was contacted by the FBI and informed his security clearance was no longer valid. The reason? He didn’t return a library book years earlier. He said he needed a note from his mom saying he did return it. Is it true? I can believe it!!
I remember hearing a news discussion recently where a guest commentator was pointing out that many men haven’t experienced women in authority since some conventional figures from their childhood. That apparently is why strong politicians such as Elizabeth Warren or Nancy Pelosi get compared by men (usually disparagingly) with school teachers or stern mothers. I have to say (and I am a former children’s librarian who loved the original strip referenced here) that I never would have equated Fiona Hill with a librarian, but it makes sense in the context of the commentator’s observations above.

“…weeks overdue, dear” update for 2019. I treasure the original.

Another classic. May have inspired the library cop episode of Seinfeld.

I love her voice and accent – she can come and scold me anytime.

So 36 years overdue. That means Binkley is what, 43 years old, at least. He should have his pituitary checked out.

Who is the Enforceress in the original?

Checked out in 1983? That would make Binkley more than 36 years old! I don’t think so!

I thought his nightmare closet pretty much began with a green poka-dotted horned monster jumping up and down on him.
