Marcie stands next to the principal's desk. Marcie says, "Yes, sir, Mr. Principal . . I've come to ask you to consider Patricia for 'May Queen'."<BR><BR> Marcie smiles and says, "It would make her very happy, sir."<BR><BR> Marcie says, "You should see her with flowers in her hair . . She looks very very queenly . . ."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty's head is wet. The flowers dangle from her drenched hair. She looks sad. Marcie says, "Except, of course, after she's walked to school in the rain . ."<BR><BR>
