I’ve lived in smallish and small (sometimes very small) towns my entire life and loved them. But one of the stranger experiences I’ve had was when an older couple moved into our small Midwestern town from the regional large city. They were decent people; but the wife got it in her head that she had to “civilize” us. No real Sabrina-like fireworks; but there was enough snark that everyone could get a share (or more).
