I believe that the strip from two days ago was the last strip from the “reboot.” I could be wrong. Yesterday the strip started over. There were never any new strips after that. I was not a fan of the reboot. I quite liked the original “Barkeater Lake” and was sad to see it go away.

I realize being married (not yet established, but I believe Mr. Heffley to be thus committed) does not obviate history or memories of past involvements, but an application from a specific someone from a whole town, even of small population, would still be a stretch of coincidence to match them up again. Small events can have deep roots.
