I remember reading about her before she was selected as McCain’s running mate. Back then it was a fluff piece, “woman governor” and all that. But boy when you start to look closely…

McCain got the Republican nomination because the powers behind the Party were pretty sure they couldn’t win after eight years of Schub. They tied Palin around his neck to be sure they wouldn’t end up with a Mormon president. (In 2016 they seem to have lost control of the Party.
