BEST ARGUMENT IVE HEARD Clovis: Colleges make millions off of their unpaid student athletes!! GO! GO!! The least they could do is offer a companion scholarship to a friend or family member of the recruit! That way, when the athlete leaves for the pros after a year at least someone will get an education!! My brother gave State U Championship! Thanks Goodness I got more than a lousy T shirt!!

In Germany there is no “inter-college sport”. Universities are for education and for sport, there are sport clubs… lots of sport clubs.

Good idea.

I’ve said for many years that colleges should openly pay their varsity athletes, since they are really just pros. They can go to classes and study if they want to, as long as it doesn’t interfere with their sports training, but the “student” part of ”student athlete” is mostly a fiction.

Football should do what baseball has done for years: develop a minor league farm system.

Don’t expect the University Administrators to do this out of the goodness of their hearts, they will need to be publicly shamed or forced by law to do the right thing.

That is a really good idea. Putt some of the Scholarships in a pool, also. Give everyone a shot.
