It isn’t the cough that carries you off,

It’s the coffin they carry you off in!

Right out of Navy boot camp, while waiting for our training class to start, we were kept busy picking up cigarette butts from among the barracks. Years later, I was in charge of the guys waiting for class, and with the reduction in smoking, had to make them clean the decks and heads in the building every morning. And again in the afternoon. I couldn’t wait to get back to sea!

i don’t get how folks can afford to smoke! – a pack a day is a car payment or 2 or even a mortgage!!!!!!

Since the GDP is made up of all goods and services in the country, cancer treatment is important to the economy.

Never heard them called “coffins.” Heard “coffin nails.”

I’m an oncologist and I would rather not have the work.

I heard these speeches all the time when I lived in NC too!
