All in a name. My uncle was a hospital administrator. He was tired of being called “Ms” Lynn, so started using his middle name Patrick. He then started getting his things addressed to “Ms” Pat.
:sigh: I go by my middle name as my first name is 4 syllables long and after I introduce myself with it people invariably asked “what name did I go by?” So I would of course say “Elizabeth” only to be met with blank stares. Then there were the ones who pronounced it Uuh-lizabeth. sheesh. Luckily I like my middle name.

It doesn’t help when they use a different alphabet.

My high school paper had a knack for finding unique ways to misspell either my name or my character’s whenever I was in a play.
