KN: On top of the list for garbage found on coastlines: cigarette butts! do smokers think cigarettes butts are so small that they're not really litter? KN: the only butt I wanna see on the beach should be in a bathing suit!! KK: Or not!!

They do an annual clean up at the beach and pick up literally tons of cig butts, it is the largest source of trash there. Some are wet so that adds weight but still its a lot and on just a small beach. But it is not smokers on the beach that leave that many, most come from the storm drains in the city that then get flushed into the ocean only to wash up on the beach

Do they make unfiltered cigarettes anymore? They should: the “filters” are ineffective & mess up the environment, while the tobacco is at least biodegradable.
