That’s the reaction that we Compuserve users had when AOL finally connected to the Internet and all those newbies with no sense of netiquette started posting en masse. Oddly enough, Compuserve then went through a number of changes and owners, and is currently part of AOL; when I sign on to my webmail, it’s an AOL login page. (Every once in a while, I give someone my email address and get a respectful “An old-timer, eh?” And my old CIS octal Programmer-Project number still works, too.)
