I think his assertive use of that word is supposed to be dismissive and demonstrate his rejection of racism. I’m reminded of Bobby LeRoy, who said either no one should use that word ever, or everyone should use it all the time. We’re not at either point yet.

QT should probably also stop sexually harassing his female actors, and also stop refusing to pay their medical bills when he gets them injured on the set.
