In 1920, a single-story building in Portland, Oregon, became headquarters for Otis Elevator Company! Nothing like showing faith in your product!?!
Side note: Whenever I see or think of Otis, my mind goes to Otis Campbell, the town drunk of The Andy Griffith Show. Especially when he would let himself into his cell in city jail.
