She looks to her left.<BR><BR> Charlie Brown is walking down the lane.<BR><BR> Lucy holds the ball in readiness to be kicked and looks up at Charlie Brown.<BR><BR> He walks off.<BR><BR> He runs back quickly.<BR><BR> She moves the ball away at the precise moment he goes to kick it. He looks startled as he flips over.<BR><BR> She looks down at him as he hits the ground with a WUMP.<BR><BR> As he lays dazed and in pain on the ground, she turns to the reader and concludes, "It's so sad...eventually everything in life just becomes routine.."<BR><BR>
