This Peanuts "serial"does look vaguely familiar; I forgot all about it, until seeing it, just now. I either would have seen it in the paper, 25 years ago THIS TIME, when it was published(it’s 8/1/2014, as I post this comment), or I would have seen it in a Peanuts comic book, either way, I definitely have seen it before. Strangely enough, this reminds me of what some young people—TROUBLEMAKERS, NO LESS—would have done, around this time(as it was before the days of easy call tracing-star 69, and caller ID, to name a couple of easy trace methods, in today’s world),anyway, when the girl called Charlie Brown,OUT OF THE BLUE, and he does not remember her AT ALL—she never even told him her name, so,for all he knows, this could very well be a joke, of some kind(and in which case, an OBSCENE PHONE CALL, is what I’m getting at.) Well, that’s why they made these advances in phone technology, so as to even DISCOURAGE sick individuals, from making crank calls—if they think they can still get away with doing such things TODAY, they are SORELY MISTAKEN, thanks to star 69, and CALLER ID.

Of course, as it is, it DOES turn out to be something of a joke, the way the girl MISTAKES Snoopy for a HUMAN BEING. Must have been a joke; after all, how in the NAME OF GOD, could someone be SO IGNORANT, so as to mistake an animal for a human being? Also, strangely enough, this was the year before Charlie Brown went to summer camp, and met Peggy Jean, whom he fell in love with, for a time(another fine example of an IGNORANT girl, the way she reversed his first and last names-“Brownie Charles,”)even though it actually turned CB on, to be called that.
