Side comment is sooooo wrong. Slow flying is on the edge of stalling, very dangerous. Low flying is where 1) there’s obstacles and 2) no room for recovery in the event of an emergency.
I saw a pilot try to land in formation with another light plane, with the first plane down, the second plane, low (~20 ft), and slow, stalled the wings and nose-dived putting the pilot in the hospital with a broken back. Hi and fast give you the most options.
