I guess the opinions of the time were that African natives were easily swayed by “priests” like Cross, and inept “engineers” like Tarzan. It’s lose-lose for them. I’d like to see now a long tentacle come up and wrap around Cross, and pull him in while he sings, “…leaning on the everlasting arms…” Amen!!
