‘Potato’ doesn’t have an ‘e’ on the end, though …

    … does it? ✨❤️✨

Potato sack, because a long coat made so little sense?

If Sedine’s mom sees Ellie she’ll be so impressed of Ellie’s “affordable” dress! XD

Marriage hasn’t even started yet and the antics are in full swing already. Never a dull moment and am really wondering what else is going to happen.

Potato sack and blindfold? The most obvious guess, and therefore invalid, is ashes for Ellie and something that resembles a firing squad Hank?

Bea has a talent for making the most obvious choices the least likely outcome.

If you have to bet on luck for the success of your marriage, you are in deep trouble.

My late brother’s wife were never into that “bad luck to see the bride before the wedding” superstition. She and her then groom-to-be always had faith and trust in the Almighty. Which is why their marriage lasted a good 21 years.

I like Sedine’s comment…everything about this “courtship” has been so unconventional, why bother with convention now?

It’s starting to look like it’ll be bad luck if the Hubbs and Ellie see each other after the marriage.

The idea that its bad luck for the bride and groom to see each other before the wedding dates back hundreds of years when marriages were pre-arranged. The parents of the bride and groom would come to a mutual agreement(usually for land, riches, and or a title.) If the bride and groom saw each other before the vows were exchanged and didn’t like each other to the point they called the wedding off. Then the pre-arranged deal was off.

So it wasn’t bad luck for the couple getting married but for their families losing out.
