As for the others, I suspect that we have not seen the last of them. The topsider didn’t say it directly, but I think if she gets them away from the collapse, she may have a way to fix things.
Or Chic, Kirbee, and everyone else suffer a fate like that of the Candylanders… stay tuned for the exciting adventures of the Cardoodle Characters!
I’ve been thinking that this is the end for Chic and Kirbee since Wally got new companions. It seems that whenever new companions come into play Mr. Neathery feels the need to remove or just simply kill the previous ones.
I think Duffy actually grasped the situation better than Wally (once Duffy calmed down) and understood that they have to stay with the topsides and follow her in order to set things straight (or shut things down/whatever it is they have to do). If they do that, everyone will be ok. If they don’t, everyone will die (or some variation of that).
Ok, Wally’s main objective throughout this arc is to keep his new family safe, so the moment he learns that reality is going to colapse on everyone, he leaves everything previously planned to the wolves and bolts straight back to them.
Duffy’s main motivation is to either save or at least avenge his younger brother, so after learning about the topsider’s role as a possible rescuer he abandons any designs upon her life and even forces Wally to rejoin the group’s efforts.
Funny how they both switch between rational and purely emotional behaviour, but often off-set each other in key moments, so that there’s balance. Like magnetic polarities – constantly different, but identical in nature.

Well, thats one way to clear things. Reminds me too much of how Rip Haywire does it though.

Amazing how quickly the smart & stupid roles can switch around here.

Good to see Duffy using his head for once.

Duffy: “Yes, he sure as hell is heavy. It’s not like we’re related or anything. Fortunately, it’s not the monkey on my back I have to worry about.”

Damn it. You’re a couple and utter selfish arse. He’ll never forgive you for making him live.

Think Wally! You might be able to save them all. Get to Eden…..shut the equipment down……only this Topsider can do it……but she can’t do it alone.

I suppose one should wonder in which direction they will go.

I’m going to guess that Duffy knows something about what to do next because of the time he spent with Ravenscroft.
