Only problem is what goes up must come down . Unless you are doing quality control and wish to see if the lights will still work after being left up all year ;-)
There’s technology and “Oh look that’s new!” I’ve rewired some decorations with LED lights. Then there are new lighted decorations I’ve wanted. Finally, one can never have too many extension cords!

similar to the carpentry tid-bit “measure twice and cut once”, you should measure the Christmas lights twice and hang them once

Doesn’t matter if you are a plugger or not. It is virtually impossible to make just one trip to the hardware store.

And when a plugger has to do any type of plumbing job or repair he has to make at least THREE trips to the hardware store before the job is done.
