In there an abbreviation for that NZ community? (Meri Kirihimete to all NZers though.)

    Harry Truman was a Baptist.

Reminds me of a joke, though.

    There are three truths.

    1. The Jews don’t recognize Jesus.

    2. The Protestants don’t recognize the Pope.

    3. Two Baptists in a liquor store don’t recognize each other.

For many years, the longest word was some lake in Wales. There was also a very long Native American word that means “You fish on your side of the lake, and I’ll fish on mine.”

Interesting juxtaposition… celebrating Hanukkah on one side, and Disney, an alleged anti-Semite on the other…

My wife, who often visited it as a little girl, will be sorry to discover that Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg is no longer so special (I had to learn to pronounce it before she would marry me – but it was worth it!)

In Maori, “wh” can vary from sounding like “hw” to sounding like “f”.

I looked up that name, and it’s the name of a hill in New Zealand and is in the Maori language. Part of the name is original, and has been lengthened for tourism purposes. It’s cited by the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest place (aka location) name.

The town with the longest name is an old town in Wales. The name came about as a publicity stunt, and stuck. Again, the town’s name started out much shorter, and was made longer.

In both cases, the locals use a much shorter version in day to day use.

Just remember that about Harry Truman, guys – the Tyrant Worshipers are convinced Their Beloved God was the first, but then, they DO believe Their God be named Trump….

I don’t understand what is so unusual about the Disney arrangements. Seems like a typical business practice. Technicolor wanted to promote its process and Disney agrees for a period of exclusivity and bragging rights.
