Um, I think it’s okay to celebrate the New Year even if one is not a permanent resident of someplace, so hear, hear for the scientists or whoever at Antarctica! (Though I won’t plan on attending Icestock anytime soon, lol.) I wasn’t a permanent resident of Prague in Czechoslovakia years ago when I celebrated July 4th there.

Whose clock do they use in Antarctica? Being so close to the south pole, you could walk between several time zones without leaving a room.
