We knew from Gustine’s tendency to charge that some animal behavior is transferred, but it looks like some biology is as well. The mutants don’t just look like animals, they can be affected by the same things as their phenotypes. The monster mutants try to eat other people; maybe some of animal mutants have tried to eat each other, and had feral minds.
Now I wonder what happened to all the REAL animals. Did they gain human intelligence and become absorbed into society or are they still out there being animals?
Catfight!!! Being a pacifist means that you won’t START a physical altercation. It doesn’t say that you can’t END one. Defense of self and/or others is acceptable to some pacifists.
Saucy1121, my theory is the rats at least were lab animals that were uplifted. If so, then maybe the experiment that made them more human got out of control and made people more animal. Maybe a contagious crossover virus that exchanges compatible genes between its carriers and is airborne, so you don’t have to be near a particular animal to acquire its genes, though it helps. The monsters would be produced when the genes aren’t so compatible, or are HOX genes, given they express in unusual numbers of body parts.
@Pontos: Can you believe I’m just now getting around to looking at that link? That’s an incredible image.. I suppose an Endtown movie would look rather like that!
