NoMoRobo: Look it up. It is free for landlines and works through your carrier’s web site. It blocks at least 80% of the robocalls. The phone rings once and then stops. As for the other calls that get through, That’s what caller ID is for.
If I don’t recognize the number it goes to voice mail.
There is a paid version of NoMoRobo for mobile lines: I think it’s under $3 a month.
Spammers will rotate through all 1,000 numbers common to your exchange to make it look like a local number. Blocking one number has a one in a thousand chance of blocking the next call from the same spammer.
Multiply this by a factor of 100 if they use the whole area code.

Been using it for a couple of years. There are a few that have found a way around it, but it still stops most.

Robo calls are an invasion of privacy, no matter what it takes to make one!

They’ll be well oiled by the end of the evening.

We got a new phone that has a ‘block call’ button. We hardly ever get those calls now……so nice and peaceful.

“Appreciates” is far from the word I’d use!

And after another drink, he’s going to have to heed nature’s robo-call.
