I love the flashbacks. So much more fun and interesting than the middle school arcs. Today’s arcs are okay but the old ones were just very special. I’m glad we still get to see them now and then.
I remember this strip fondly from so many years ago. I know Heart has to grow up and bring new challenges which I’m enjoying, but I do miss this sweet girl, especially in her tutu.
We live out in the country, a mile from town, 1/4 mile off the road. Some nights, when there is no wind you really can hear the snow. It has to be cold. Sloppy wet flakes don’t do it.

Another weird and cool thing about snow… if conditions are right, you can see the shadows. It’s an ethereal effect.
