I have a theory that boys are immune to girl cooties form certain girls. For example, you can’t get cooties from a blood relative or even a step-relative. There are also other exceptions based on age. Girls after a certain age no longer carry cooties and girls that are younger than you by a year or two can’t transmit them to you either.

I have to agree – when I was in school, I didn’t worry too much about cooties after the girls were about 13 – 14.
