Peppermint Patty stands in front of the teacher's desk and holds a paper. She says, "Thank you, ma'am."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty walks to her seat and looks at her paper. She says, "Wow!"<BR><BR> Marcie and Peppermint Patty sit at their desks in school. Peppermint Patty holds out her paper and turns to Marcie. She says, "Look at this . ."<BR><BR> Marcie looks at the paper and says, "You got an 'A' on the spelling test!" Peppermint Patty smiles.<BR><BR> Marcie walks with Peppermint Patty. Peppermint Patty looks at her paper. Marcie says, "Well, I'm proud of you, sir, and I'm proud of the way you did it . . ."<BR><BR> Peppermint Patty and Marcie stand on the curb. Marcie says, "You really applied yourself! You studied those words over and over until you knew every letter in every word!!"<BR><BR> Marcie and Peppermint Patty continue to walk. Marcie says, "Then, as they say, the rest was history!"<BR><BR> Marcie and Peppermint Patty stand at the front door. Peppermint Patty says, "No, I got a 'D-minus' in history . ."<BR><BR>

And if you average out the A from that spelling test with the rest of her spelling grades, Peppermint Patty’s overall grade is a D-minus.
