    If you translate “The La Brea Tar Pits” it becomes “The The Tar Tar Pits”, because “La Brea” means “The Tar”!

    Very cute! But the educator in me wants to remind everybody that these particular tar pits were ‘open’ approximately 65 million years after the time of the dinosaurs. However birds have been found there so… {shrugs} I vote we allow the artists creative license! ;D
