Wait, an adult actually speaks? Don’t remember this one when it originally ran (let’s see, was 18 at the time) but outside of one of the specials (Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (and Don’t Come Back!!)) I don’t remember ever seeing adults talk or hearing them without it being a muted trombone.

I think it’s amusing that Snoopy actually behaved like a normal dog. Maybe he knew how much respect Charlie Brown had for his father, and decide to humor him.

There are a few instances of adults talking in the Peanuts annals.

Now I’m looking at every past Peanuts strip to see if this is the first time an adult speaks.

Panel 5, is that an early version of the frisbee?
