Rerun holds a sign that says, "Dog wanted to chase sticks."<BR><BR> Sally and Snoopy sit in the beanbag. Sally hears the doorbell ring.<BR><BR> Rerun stands on the doorstep and says, "Ask your brother's dog to come out and play . ." Sally asks, "Why don't you get your own dog?"<BR><BR> Rerun says, "Mom won't let me have a dog . ." Sally replies, "Well, stop bothering us . . Get off our porch!"<BR><BR> Rerun says, "This isn't a porch . . This is a stoop!"<BR><BR> Rerun explains, "A porch has a railing around it, and a roof over it, and it's all white, and it has a swing and some rocking chairs . ."<BR><BR> Rerun continues, "And a little table with lemonade glasses, and warm nights, and fireflies, and crickets, and soft music, and a moon in the sky . ."<BR><BR> Sally asks Snoopy, "Do you want to go out and play with that kid again?"<BR><BR> Sally says, "He's waiting on our stoop!"<BR><BR>

I love Rerun. Can I adopt him? I promise to let him have a dog, and we’ll visit Linus and Lucy every single weekend.

Suddenly, Rerun emerges as the best writer in the Peanuts universe, far ahead of his canine playmate.
If Snoopy tried to paint the same picture, he would begin with “It was a warm and moonlit night.”
