Which only brings up the question, if their family has enough money to own different sizes of mops and buckets, why does Nancy only own the one black blouse with the white sleeves? It must be tough on her during laundry time.
When we were younger, my drunken sister spilled spaghetti all over the kitchen and then tried to cover it up by proclaiming, “I don’t know who spilled all the spaghetti.”
Looks like she accidentally soaked up some of the juice with the mop. To make the spill look bigger again, she should add some water and some soap (to lower the surface tension, so it spreads out).
Hmmm… Nancy is not thinking this through completely…. now the tools are set and ready to go…. and it makes it even easier for Aunt Fritzi to call Nancy out to clean up after herself. She should have covered the spill with a rug… and then after it absorbed, should have covered the first rug with another rug that had a rubbery backing on its underside. :)
Here’s a thought:. Why not utilize that mop and bucket and clean up the mess that YOU made. Maybe you could even get it all cleaned up before Auntie gets home and she won’t even have to know!

Nancy works harder avoiding work than doing the work in the first place.

It’ll help Fritzi see things in perspective.

I’m enjoying the thematic “rhyme” between today’s “Nancy” and “Nancy Classics."
Namely: In both, Nancy arranges displays of inanimate objects to convey meaning.

I should have known that Nancy wasn’t going to do actual work.

If she’d use that bucket and mop to clean up her own mess, I doubt Aunt Fritzi would be very upset at all.
