I used to hang up clothes to dryon the railing of the back porch in the summertime when I was living in the house IT saved the dryer from overworking And heat from it didn’t make the air hot. Can’t do it anymore, no accommodation :(
I find clothes lines charming, especially the ones in some cities in Europe where they are in a narrow street between two buildings, as long as it is prohibited to hang your undies , it adds to the charm , I think.
We use our solar powered dryer as much as possible. Your clothes smell nicer and last longer. Just remember, that stuff in the lint filter is your underwear.
Of all the wonderful dryer technology and sweet smelling dryer sheets we have here in this day and age, nothing compares to the great fragrance of those clothes that were dried in the hot summer sun of the ’50’s!
