“Faults I can’t accept” is pretty harsh. Like it’s a deal breaker or something. If that’s the case, either break the deal or be more accommodating, something’s got to give. “It’s you whose faults I have trouble with” might have been a better word choice.
On the other hand, Brutus could be channeling Mac Davis: “Oh Lord, it’s hard to be humble – When you’re perfect in every way – I can’t wait to look in the mirror – ‘Cause I get better lookin’ each day – To know me is to love me – I must be a hell of a man – Oh Lord, it’s hard to be humble – But I’m doin’ the best that I can!”

Women have no problem with admitting their faults, or at least they wouldn’t, if they had any.

You set yourself up for that one Brutus. There’s a reason you are called The Born Loser. There are times one should keep their thoughts to themselves.

Well Gladys, if you can’t accept them, there are alternatives.

Does that mean you want a divorce, Gladys? You are starting to sound like your mother!

A kinder, gentler zinger would have been, “Yes, I have too . . . I can accept your faults and live with you.”
