my only problem with modern Garfield comics is that they use random topics every day instead of sticking to 1 plot a week. they act like it is always sunday
I’ll go with Nermal being delusional and narcissistic. She doesn’t look much different compared to Garfield, other than eyelashes and color, and I could argue that a single shade of gray is not very cute. But then again, this is just a comic strip…
My advice Garfield, take it as a compliment which might take the wind out of Nermal’s sails so to speak. Nermal gets his kicks from annoying you, so instead, be loud and proud about everything and he won’t have anything to use against you.

The difference depends on who it is coming from Garfield. Take a guess.

If it’s Nermal to you, Garfield, safe to say it’s an insult. Little twit is a grandpa too, remember.

“If you nail’em hard, there’s plenty of time for a getaway!”
So said Nermal in a late 1980s strip. He nailed Garfield hard enough today that Garfield doesn’t know whether he’s been complimented or insulted!

since, except for the eyelashes and color , you look EXACTLY like each other, consider it a compliment

As a college friend once observed, way back in the day, cute is just another name for UUUGGGLY.

No. Any cat would just assume it’s a compliment.

I know it’s not polite to judge a person’s body image. But why do both of them have a belly as big as their head. (I love Garfield!)
