All the players that were on the Astros in 2017 and the Red Sox in 2018 should be suspended for a year no matter what team they’re playing for now, they all BENEFITED by winning the World Series. They should also be fined their World Series shares. That includes the pitcher who broke the story, since he didn’t talk about it until after he left the team and the cheating would hurt his new team or was annoyed when it hurt him. The teams effected most (Houston and Boston) can field a team with players from minor leagues. If that effects their attendance and bottom lines that would just be further punishment for the owners who claim they didn’t know what was going on which is also questionable.
I’m just waiting for Nancy and her political follies to start Congressional Hearings on cheating in Professional Sports. They can spend millions on another waste of their time trying to clean up corruption where no one cares about it.
All the players involved should be “Armstronged” Payback all the money, banned for life and the championships vacated from the record books. This was as bad as, if not worse, than the Black Sox of 1919. Basically what stevek said above.
Baseball players have been devising new and more intricate ways to steal signs since about 20 minutes after the introduction of signs to baseball.
Too bad they didn’t catch the Yankees or Dodgers first: the punishment would have been maybe a $50K fine, maybe a 3rd round pick and no more than a dozen games worth of suspensions.

The didn’t punish the ones that actually committed the crime. They robbed the bank and got to keep the money.
